A good find...

Yes, Lucas will always love tractors and trains... but right now, he's completely obsessed with construction trucks/equipment. It all began when Uncle Greg purchased a remote control front loader for Lucas. Along with it came a set of construction cones, barrels, and road signs. It's been one of Lucas' favorite toys. Soon after, we added a dump truck and bulldozer to his collection. Well, yesterday when the boys went out to pick up some kettle corn at the Farmer's Market, they stopped at a garage sale and found THIS!!!!!

You guessed it! It's a big metal concrete mixer...that even spins around and empties out whatever contents it has in it. So far we've tested construction signs, coffee beans, and just plain old cooking beans. Lucas LOVES it.

P.S. Can I make a recommendation??? Those of you who have boys at home that love tractors/trucks, etc. like Lucas... I highly recommend the John Deere books that are sold at Barnes and Noble (and I'm sure Borders and other bookstores). Lucas has 3-4 of them and LOVES them. They have characters like Luke Loader, Barney Backhoe, Eddie Excavator, etc. You get the idea. They're super cute...

Last but not least, here's a cute story that goes along with this... We're driving down the road the other day and there's a construction crew up ahead. Lucas points out all the machinery then says this.

Lucas: Hey Mommy! There's some construction barrels! Just like mine!

Me: Oh yeah! You're right!

Lucas: Oh no! But they're all dirty. They should probably get a bubble bath.

Me: (I just laugh...)

Lucas: Oh...that'd be silly. Construction barrels don't take baths!
