We have the great privilege of living close enough to Indianapolis to take advantage of some of the fun things to do in the "big city" as Lucas likes to call it. A few weeks ago, it was a trip to the zoo...today...a trip to the ballpark! The Indianapolis Indians is a minor league baseball team...and we always enjoy going to the games because it's always so fun! You can chill out in the lawn section and bring a blanket and picnic...or you can sit in the stands up real close, like we did today.
Now, unfortunately today was cold and rainy, but we went anyway. My school's choir sang the National Anthem and we had a whole section blocked off just for our school and their families! We had a ton of fun seeing the parents and kids that I've worked/am working with...in such a fun atmosphere. Of course, the bonus was that Lucas LOVED being there to watch the game and be so close.
These are the women I have the great privilege of working with each day.... my 2nd grade team.
Yes, our seats were THIS close.
Watching the pitcher and catcher warm up was Lucas's highlight for sure.
I love this picture...LOVE it.
See you again real soon, Victory Field!!!!!!! (And you better restock the popcorn and soft pretzels!!)
