Yard Work!!!
Eric and I really look forward to this time of the year, when we can work in the yard and plant our garden. This year has been no different. With all the rains lately, we've had to delay our time outside, but the wait was well worth it.
Here's a few things we've done lately (pictures to follow!), of course, with the help of 2 eager children who equally enjoy being outside...
- pulled weeds around the house
- reseeded bare spots in the lawn
- fertilized the lawn
- tilled the garden with a rented garden tiller
- planted marigolds and some random perernnials around the house
- planted carrots, watermelon, green beans, lettuce, sugar snap peas, cilantro, and onion seeds in the garden (peppers and tomatoes will come later in the week)
- watered (This was Lucas' job and he enjoyed not only watering the seeds, but the grass, the siding, his toes, his sister, bugs, weeds, sidewalk cracks, and the lamp post.) (Below) ...balancing fruit snacks in one hand and the trowel in the other hand...

I look at this and all I can think of is this: "Is Eric REALLY tilling the garden without any shoes on?!?!" =)
Loved all the fun pictures and the latest Bland updates!
