Saturday/Sunday marked the first weekend at church where the service was held in our new auditorium...which is absolutely magnificent...breathtaking...and humbling all at once. Our church is busting at the seems and for the past 2 years we've been raising money to add more space. This weekend we experienced this new space along with our church family. God has truly blessed us with a beautiful church, but more importantly, with leadership that guides in the right direction-- our pastor spoke very seriously on using this space for expanding God's kingdom and using it for His glory. We had a great time of worship and reflection...and lots of excitement because of the potential that lays before us...
On another, different kind of note, Eric and I also experienced the Colts playing their first game in the new Lucas Oil Stadium (Yes, they had to ask us permission to use the name.) It was pretty cool being a part of the first game there...and the excitement was everywhere!!! Man, that place is cool!!! I did take a few pix. Sorry, no pix of our new church- that would have been a little distracting don't you think?
That big open space above the end-zone seats is a big window! You can see the old RCA Dome where the Colts used to play. If you sat on the other side of the stadium you could see the Indy Skyline. There's also a retractable roof which they opened at the beginning of the game and closed during 3rd quarter. SWWWEEETTTTTTT!!!!!!!!
Man, we felt so close to it all!!! And we were up in section 417!!
