Can't wait to go back again. We're thinking next time the lawn seats will suit us much better (although Lucas does like the seats close-up). After warm-ups, the pitcher came over and gave Lucas the ball he was practicing with. Oh man did that make his night. I'll upload a picture later... it's on Eric's phone.
Here they are...our beautiful children. Lucas, Sophie, and now our newest addition...Brady!! We hope to share the joys and blessings with you through our blog...

First Indians Game
We headed to our first Indianapolis Indians game of the year Thursday evening. My school choir sang the National Anthem and we had a whole section blocked off for staff and students along with families. We had a lot of fun.... despite the fact that Sophie and I didn't watch much of the game.... here's what she did...
One of my favorites...
This is one of my favorite posts of the year... here's a hint:
Why did I just put my make-up bag and hair dryer away at the back of the closet?????
Because SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!
This video sums up our excitement.
We got the kids a new pool today and we've already made our money's worth. They played for hours and hours. It was so fun just watching them enjoy it so much.
Popsicle break--- best summer snack ever! Zara, Caden, and Claire- we talked about you guys while enjoying these treats since they were a gift from you. Can't wait to see you in Montana!
Lucas below is yelling, "CHEESE" but it looks like an angry face.... just wanted to clarify.
So thankful for the lazy days ahead that await us. Thankful for the later evenings and flexible bedtimes. Thankful for the trips to Carrie's pool, Farmer's Markets, Indians games, road trips to Ohio, Michigan, and Missouri, vacation to Montana, and blank spots on the calendar. Nice to see you again, Summer!!! We've missed you so.

Express Baseball
Pre-game warm ups
Hard to tell but that's him on 3rd- below
Lucas's biggest fan
Dropping by to tell Nali and Uncle Greg hello between innings
Lucas, up to bat...
Rounding 3rd then heading to home...
At the end of games the coach has the kids run the bases. I get a kick out of it every time.

Perfect Weekend!
My idea of a perfect weekend is beautiful weather, time outside, and time spent with family. We soaked in all three this past weekend!
Nali and Uncle Greg came to visit!!
Nali was a wonderful help to me and helped me plant my new rose bush. I also got my impatiens and marigolds planted too!
Sophie, after waking up from her 4+ hour nap. Life is tough for this 2 year old. :)
Eric tilled up the garden and flower beds for me today with our new tiller that he got!! After much time and energy spent fixing it (Eric, not me) it works like a charm!!
By this point in the day I was starting to get worn out. I took this picture while laying on the grass with my head resting on the potting soil bag. Very comfy!
Playing catch and baseball with Nali and Uncle Greg.
And of course, every weekend night needs at least one bonfire!!! We LOVE our bonfires!
...and s'mores.
Nali and Uncle Greg,
Thanks for making the LONG trip over to see us. We all had such a great time, and thanks so much for your help in and around the house. :) Hope you can come back again soon!

The Backyard Sillies
And by sillies I'm referring to this crazy kiddo:
...and this crazy kiddo (posing in front of our cilantro "tree").
It is that time of the year where I'm reminded, once again, of how much I love our house, and most specifically our backyard. It's a perfect haven for playing and going wild (and we have those kind of neighbors who don't mind the squeals of delight at all hours of the day). This afternoon the kids unwound from school by running crazy in the yard, while Mommy did some much neded weeding.
Here's the play-by-play...
Lucas wanted to make mud... I'd say he accomplished his mission.
"What is Y-ucas doing Mommy???"
Daddy comes home from working wondering the same thing!
Seriously, have you ever seen cilantro like this? It came up on its own, and I'd say we're set for salsa, tacos, guacamole, etc. for the next several years.
Now comes the real fun...
Sophie decided she'd try to drench herself, but aftwards realized it wasn't as fun as she thought. "Cold Mommy!"
And now the shirts come off.... and they're all having fun.
And my favorite picture of the day.... (insert squeals of joy!)
Love my kids. Love my backyard. Love this warm weather.
