Sophie and I were the first ones up that morning and we tip-toed out to the porch and watched the sun come up over the mountains. It was pretty amazing.
Once everyone was up we spent some time on the porch then went for a walk around Mom and Dad's property.

Friday night Zach and Amanda and the kids arrived and we were a complete family once again!!! Saturday morning Caden and Sophie played trains on the deck for SO long. They played so well together and were easily entertained by each other and the trains.

That evening we headed to Holland Lake to swim and CANOE! Mom and Dad purchased a canoe and it sure got a lot of use these last few weeks.

Picnic at Holland Lake (Brr... it was chilly!)
We spent a lot of time at the playground by Mom and Dad's cabin. Lots of space for the kids to run and play.
Our next big adventure was a trip to Rainy Lake. We've been there many times and we went quite a few times this trip as well. It's a perfect spot to swim, fish, and canoe. There are hardly any people there, and it's extremely quiet because motor boats aren't allowed on the water. We often hear (and sometimes see!) loons out on the water.
Fish On!!!
At the end of each day the kids were so worn out. We played hard each day. This particular night Eric read to the kids on the couch.
**More pics and stories to come... I must have overloaded this post because the uploading froze up on me!
