Birthday Boy!!!

This sweet kiddos is turning EIGHT today!

Lucas and I enjoyed breakfast at Pancake House this morning, complete with hot chocolate piled high with whipped cream!

Nali got Lucas some Legos-- but not just any Legos- Broncos football players, complete with the stadium!!  

 Celebrating all three birthday boys in Ohio

Grandma and Grandpa got Lucas a new football jersey and Eric made Lucas a Buckeyes helmet.

I'd say he's pretty set to go!

You continue to amaze us each and every day.... by the way you play and interact with Brady and Sophie... by the kindness and compassion you have in your heart for others.... by your energetic spirit, and the love your have in your heart for the Lord.  You make us so very proud.

The latest:

• you're smack dab in the middle of 2nd grade football with Dad as your coach (You're on the Broncos team, of course!)
• you're loving school at TME-- your favorite part of the day is specials classes- especially PE
• Mrs. Miller is your teacher
• you love being back at TME so you can play before and after school with your buddies
• when you grow up you want to be in the NFL but recently, after studying space in science class, you mentioned wanting to be an astronaut so you can land of Mars and play space golf
• you and Sophie battle in the car for "slug bugs"
• you've received Coyote of Character twice already at school this year- for showing signs of being a caring and hard-working student/friend
• you change into your football gear the minute you get home each day and play out in the backyard-- sometimes by yourself- sometimes with Soph (and occasionally with Mom/Dad!)
• you are as sweet and gently as can be with Brady- you talk in such a cute voice with him and he clearly LOVES you
• you've grown!  We had to go buy you all new pants for the fall/winter season that is upon us since they were all too short
• you beg for "brinner" nearly every night of the week ; )
• your favorite pasttimes, other than playing football are: Legos, reading, playing board games, riding bike, and basketball
