Tonight Lucas and I were reading one of his children's Bibles right before bedtime. At the end it says, "Jesus loves all the little children, and Jesus loves you!" although I always insert "Lucas!" It has been a routine that we also name all the other people that Jesus loves. Here's tonight's conversation:
Mommy: And Jesus loves Lucas!
Lucas: And Daddy
Mommy: Yup
Lucas: And Mommy and Nali
Mommy: You're right!
Lucas: And Grandma and papa... and basketball!!!
The boy loves his basketball!
Grandma and Grandpa, thanks for a fun weekend! We enjoyed having you here to visit.
